Summer’s Fullness: Holding Delight & Grief in Complex Times
An Online Circle of Trust® Retreat Series
WHY NOW: One of the gifts of summer is the abundance of life – the riot of growth in field and garden, forest and meadow. It’s a time for the sheer delight of play! For Fire! Energy! Heat! Heart! And yet summer can also be a time of tremendous challenge – drought or flood, pests or pestilence. And this summer, in particular is a time of complicated emergence from the pandemic, of ongoing political strife, racial reckoning, climate crisis, and more: How will you hold the delight and the grief of these complex times?
WHAT: Prairie Oaks Institute and The Milkweed Group invite you to join us for this life-giving series of mini-retreats: “Summer’s Fullness: Holding Delight and Grief in Complex Times.” Knowing the importance of human connection, especially in these times of physical distancing, we will gather online (via Zoom) in a cohort of no more than 25 people.
WHEN: Each session will be a spacious two hours (including ample time for pause and movement) on the following Saturdays, starting at 8:30 p.m. Pacific / 9:30 Mountain / 10:30 Central / 11:30 Eastern; find your local time here: https://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/ :
July 17: Play and Delight, Grief and Growth
July 24: Fire, Heart, and Heat
July 31: Let Your Life Speak: Practicing Discernment-in-Community
August 7: Gifts of Complexity
WHO: The series will be facilitated by experienced Circles of Trust® facilitators Karen Harding, Chris Johnson, and Diane Petteway, and hosted by Prairie Oaks Institute, near Belle Plaine, Minnesota, whose mission is to be a catalyst for the rejuvenation of people and the planet.
COST: Since we recognize that these are tough economic times, we’re offering a three-tier, choose-your-own pricing structure: $115 supported registration, $165 regular registration, or $215 “We’re all in this together” registration. We don’t want cost to be a barrier, so if there’s a different figure that can work for you, please email Chris (cjohnso542@gmail.com).
REGISTRATION: Since space is limited, please register now (by July 12 at the latest) at https://milkweedgroup.regfox.com/summer21. Once we have your registration, we’ll send you some short pre-readings and the information to connect to the sessions via Zoom.
We look forward to having you with us!
